Pregnant!

I am happy to announce that John and I are expecting our second baby.  We are going to have two under two! This is all still surreal to me. We were not expecting this to happen so quickly and without even trying!

Conceiving Juliet was very difficult. We spent years trying before seeing a fertility specialist and after many fertility treatments, a round of IVF, and lots of progesterone Juliet was finally here.  We assumed that we would be faced with the same challenges and have to rely on our frozen embryos the second time around.

I am on cloud nine and feel so blessed that god has sent us this gift. I get to experience the joys of pregnancy all over again. When I found out I was pregnant I was in disbelief. I could see and feel my body changing. I told myself it was normal, just my body changing post-partum, Juliet was only 6 months. When I missed my period I waited a week before deciding to take a first response test. When I saw the two pink lines I was literally speechless. Right away I drove to my mom’s house and called my OB. She saw me the same day and low and behold the test was also positive! I could not wait to tell John. As soon as I got to my mom’s I made a sign for Juliet and took the picture below.

John was very surprised when he received that text message! It was so nice to experience that excitement this time around.

We are so thankful that our family is growing. Raising two babies under two is going to be challenging. To be honest I am a little intimidated by the fact that they will be 14 months apart, but feel comfort in knowing we have a strong support system. I thank god for our friends and families who are always there for us.

My due date is June 6, 2016. Juliet is going to be an amazing big sister and we cannot wait to meet baby# 2! We decided to announce the pregnancy to our extended friends and family with our holiday greeting cards. Here are some pics from the shoot.
