John Lucas' Baptism

On Saturday we celebrated John Lucas's Baptism. It was a joyous day shared with our loved ones. The day started out a little bumpy as our photographer did not show up leaving us with no professional camera to take photos of the ceremony. Initially I was devastated, but John quickly reminded me that it is not about the photos but about this blessed sacrament that we were bringing our son in to and he was right. The photos I will be sharing with you are not professional but they are special to me and I will cherish them forever.
El Sábado celebramos el Bautizo de John Lucas. Fue un día muy especial para nosotros que compartimos con nuestra familia y amistades. El día empezó un poco mal pues nuestra fotografa nos fallo. Me puse un poco nerviosa y enojada pero John pronto me recordó que el día no se trata de fotos. El día es para presentar a John Lucas a dios y las fotos son lo de menos. Las fotos que voy a compartir con ustedes no son de calidad professional pero son especiales para mi y servirán de bonito recuerdo.
It is such a blessing and honor to have had John Lucas' great grandfather Baptize him. We are so thankful for grandpa Johnnie and all that he has done for us. He not only baptized our children but he also married John and I and baptized my husband when he was a baby. The ceremony was beautiful and JL was so peaceful through the entire thing.
Es especial poder decirle a John Lucas que su bisabuelo lo bautizo. Y que también bautizo a su hermanita y a su papa cuando era niño. La celebración fue muy bonita dedicada a JL. JL se porto muy bien. 
The God parents we chose for JL are our dear friends Mike and Tara along with my little sisters Eden & Celeste.
Sus padrinos fueron mis dos hermanitas Eden Y Celeste Y también nuestros queridos amigos Mike y Tara.
We went with really simple decor for the party as I did not want to bother with too many complicated details as I am still recovering from UC and did not want to stress out. The theme was lamb of god. I bought a simple cake and got the cutest little lamb cutouts and cake topper from Bells Custom Creations, check her page out she is super talented.
La fiesta fue muy simple. No me quise estresar con decoraciones y detalles muy complicados porque acabo de salir de el hospital y todavía me estoy recuperando. Decoramos con corderitos. Mi amiga de Bells Custom Creations corto los corderos Y la carta arriba de el pastel. Y para comer contratamos a un taquero y se encargo de traer todo lo necesario. De esta manera nadie se preocupa de servir Y mi familia y yo nos podemos relajar.
The baptism and celebration were a success. Thanks to all of our friends who shared in JL's special day and thanks to my family who always jumps in to help.
Gracias a todos los que nos acompañaron en este día tan especial Y gracias a mi familia por siempre ofrecerse a ayudar.
