Mommies in Spanglish

Since having John Lucas I am starting to get a bit of cabin fever.  Being home with the babies is great however some time out of the house is great for everyone. To help battle that feeling of FOMO (fear of missing out) Eventbrite has come up with a new term: GOMO (going out more often)! With Eventbrite's tools, you could even host your own GOMO event like as a class or a concert, and sell tickets for it. Since I've been inspired by GOMO, I am making a bucket list of events and places I want to visit and do before the year is over.

Au Fudge
I have been wanting to visit AuFudge for a while now but just haven't been able to make my way out there. It is a super cute restaurant, marketplace, and creative space for patents and kids. They host many classes for children of all ages as well as informative classes for parents and parents to be. Check out the link above for their calendar.

Ventura Winter Wine Walk
This event will be held on Dec 3 from 4-7 pm. My husband and I plan on attending and will bring the kids along to enjoy the Holiday Street Fair. Live music, good food, and wine!

Breakfast with Santa
I will be taking the babies to this event so we can eat and take photos with Santa.

Paint & Pint Class Poseidon Brewing
When I saw the information for this event I knew we had to go. My husband is a craft beer enthusiast and I know he will enjoy this painting class. Looking forward to this fun date night.

Berry Picking Underwood Family Farms
We picked our own veggies & fruit for the first time last month during the harvest festival. Juliet loved it so much that we can not wait to take her again.

I hope this lists inspires some of you to get out more often #GOMO.

Iris

'Tis the season to join in all the festivities and of course, an ugly xmas sweater party is in line!

Christmas is just a week away so we knew we needed to have an early in the month get together with all of our friends. And what better way to celebrate the Christmas with friends, family, and lots of good times, then joining in on an ugly xmas sweater themed party. Here are just a few photos of from that night we wanted to share:

Christmas decorating is one of my favorite things about the holiday season and this year is no different. Since this is our fourth Christmas as a married couple and third year in our first home, we are still building our holiday collection/decor for the home. Most of our finds come from Target, Kohls, and Tjmaxx; these are great places to start, especially if you are on a budget.
Sometimes it is hard to decorate in small spaces but I have managed to work with the space that we have. Storing away regular home decor pieces to display holiday pieces helps with keeping the holiday vibes throughout the home.

**Holiday decorating tip from my momma-keep an eye out for after christmas sales, as it is the best time to purchase holiday decor, especially ornaments for the next year's festivities.

I personally enjoy Birchbox because I love changing up my beauty regimen and trying new and different products. The neat feature about Birchbox is that you create a profile and can prioritize your interests, so you will most likely not receive an item you are not interested in, rather receive products you are more likely to give a try. In my case, I receive at least one makeup option, body care, hair care, or skin care and everyone receives different products based off of your Birchbox profile.

This month's box is a beautiful teal and brown floral print with a rose gold Birchbox label. Every month has a different look to the packaging, which makes it nice to save for storage or gift boxing options.

Here is a closer look at what I received in this month's box:

• Rusk Texture Spray
• Christie Brinkley Daily Facial Exfoliating Polish
• Temple Spa La La Lagoon Aromatic Bath & Shower Gel
• The Balm Cosmetics Frat Boy Blush/Eyeshadow
• Dr. Lipp Miracle Balm

This blog came about when we realized as friends that we were starting our journeys into motherhood . We also happen to share a similar interest in fashion, beauty, home decor and values. It was a match made in heaven. To backtrack a bit to how we first met and how our friendship blossomed, here is a little side story: our husbands where friends since little league baseball but really connected in high school and have been friends every since. We both married our husbands at a younger age and have created a friendship as girlfriends ever since.
