A week ago we celebrated John Luca's first birthday! It was so much fun planning the theme of his birthday party.  I really liked the idea of a camping theme but liked the banners of the lumberjack parties, so we combined the two ideas and came up with the decorations for his party. The banners, favor tags and cake toppers were made by Bells Custom Creations (check her out on instagram she is super creative and can make anything custom). The favor bags were little hitchhiker  (got the idea from this pin) bags filled with treats for the kids. I ordered the cake from Sam's club and then scrapped off the frosting to make it look like those trendy naked cakes. My girlfriend made an amazing smash cake for JL that was checkered inside. Really sad I didn't get a pic of it but it was delicious and super cute!

My favorite were the last minute center pieces that my sister Celeste came up with. She nailed three holes in to cut pieces of firewood then used the Asparagus Fern plant in my moms back yard to make the little trees. My mom was not so happy about what happened to her plant but it was worth it.

John made hot dogs and hamburgers and the kids had a blast hitting a piñata of a knock off smoky the bear! Thanks to everyone that came out and celebrated with us.


Ase una semana celebramos el cumpleaños de John Lucas. Decidimos en el tema de campar. Los letreros y decoraciones so de bells custom creations, tiene mucho talento y ase todo a tu gusto. Las blocitas debolo las hicimos de la tela que sobro de los manteles y las amarramos a palitos de un árbol.  

Mi favorita cosa fueron las decoraciones para las mesas. Mi hermanita celeste fue la de la idea. Se puso a pegar pedacitos de una planta de mi mama (asparagus fern) a troncos de leña. Fueron la perfecta adición a las decoraciones.
